The UEF story

The system of UEF dive schools was founded by enthusiastic diving instructors. We came up with an idea in 1999 to transfer our knowledge and experience to other, beginner or advanced, divers in the framework of a new system of dive schools that fully complies with international requirements, committing to quality and safety alike. After extensive preparation and work, we delivered the first diver UEF certificate in 2001. During all these years, we have developed unique and high-standard training materials that are shown by practical experience to be a match for those of any dive school globally, and our favourable prices allow a wide range of potential divers to explore the underwater world.

The European headquarters of our diver education system is located in Hungary, but prospective divers are welcome at our partner dive centres also outside Europe. We train divers from the beginner to rescue diver level, and from dive master to an instructor certifier level. We update and develop our training materials on an ongoing basis.

The whole UEF team – including instructors and divers – are enthusiastic about our environment. Our commitment to environmental protection is not only a chapter in our course books or awareness programmes delivered by our instructors. The divers trained by us regularly participate in lake clean-up or shore clean-up programmes worldwide, in coordination with dive centres. In the past years, we have staged a number of successful environmental campaigns, and we remain committed to continuing such activities in the future, for which we intend to mobilise not only UEF divers.
